I saw LOVE (finally) last year when I was in Vegas. I had been wanting to see it since it was released and finally pulled the trigger. I was not disappointed, it was an excellent show for sure!
I will say in full disclosure that I’m a big Beatles fan as well, so that likely helped. I’ve also only seen about 2 or 3 other Cirque shows, and no other Vegas ones, so my comparison is limited as well.
One and O are also both on my list and I’ll have to make plans to see then next time I head to Vegas.
]]>In any case, I didn’t wanna watch the Vegas show bc I thought it wouldn’t have lived up to MJ’s expectations. My sisters forced me to go last Thursday, when we stayed at Mandalay Bay for Thanksgiving. IT WAS PHENOMENAL. I mean it started off meh, but quickly redeemed itself. We rewatched La Reve a few days later. La Reve used to be my favorite, but after watching Michael Jackson ONE, I left bored. They changed La Reve’s plot and changed the lead character, it’s just not as good anymore.
I’ve also seen O which was a tied favorite with La Reve, but will now be my sole favorite with Luzia being my 2nd favorite. Corteo as my 3rd. MJ’s ONE now being 4th. La Reve demoted to 5th, bumping Toruk down to 6th. I’ve watched 4 other Cirque tours, but only 3 Vegas-based ones. I’m looking forward to Ka and Mystere on my next visit to Vegas — but let me tell you, after seeing MJ’s tribute, I now want to see Beatles LOVE!
