We were eating one time at Flights, pretty good and you should check it out – interesting concept, and noticed all of the “Showgirls” walking by heading to the Strip. Didn’t take long to realize that Miracle Mile had free parking after about the third or fourth set walked by. Last time we ate there we didn’t see any of the “free parking girls” haha. Wonder where they park now?!

This makes me wonder if Caesars is going to keep Planet Hollywood. They talked about divesting a casino. Wonder if the upgrades are to make it sale ready? Like any Casino Management Team the Caesars people did a walkthrough of the property and said, “this property is not like the others”. No. It certainly is. We need to de-theme it!

In reply to Daniel Faigin. The interior is going to feature projection mapping. So, that leads me to believe they won't be brightening up the Arabian nights cavernous look. Right now, the darkness is so projection friendly.

I’m a bit surprised you didn’t mention that the existing Miracle Mile Shops contain quite a bit of “arabian” theming left over from the days of the Desert Passage Shops … including the rain feature. What the article doesn’t say (and one thing I guess they will do) is the final removal of remaining Desert Passage theming.

I also notice that there is an excess of theatres there: I think Saxe has a venue, and there was another theatre venue (plus Crazy Horse moved there after the Riv closed). One wonders if they are going to cut things down to a single theatre (Saxe isn’t running as many shows, and (sob) they are no longer running the great “Evil Dead – The Musical”).

When I walked through the mall back in August, there were a fair number of empty spaces. I wonder if they are going to be filling those (and that’s one purpose of the renovation). Make it look newer, get more tenants.
